What is an e-business Visa?

It is a specialized travel permit granted by the Indian government to individuals intending to attend conferences, seminars, workshops or similar events hosted within India.

Who is Eligible?

  • Participants invited to attend conferences, workshops or seminars.
  • Speakers invited to present research papers, lead sessions or deliver talks.
  • Delegates representing governmental bodies, international organizations or NGOs.
  • Organizers, administrative staff and technical support personnel involved in the conference.

How to Apply for a Conference Visa

1. Gather Documents

  • Valid passport with at least six months validity.
  • Visa application form.
  • Invitation letter from conference organizers.
  • Proof of conference registration or participation.
  • Passport-sized photographs.
  • Travel itinerary and accommodation details.
  • Proof of sufficient funds.
  • Travel insurance, if necessary.

2. Complete Application

Fill out the visa application form accurately with all requested information. Some countries offer online application forms, while others may require paper applications submitted in person or through a visa processing centre.

3. Pay Visa Fee

Pay the visa application fee according to the host country's regulations, which may vary based on visa type and duration.

Important Note

The conference organizer will apply for ministry approvals after collecting the required information during online registration. Kindly apply for the Conference Visa only once the Letter of Invitation, Ministry of Home Affairs permission and Ministry of External Affairs permission are available.
